Need help to pray?
We all struggle to pray at times. Sometimes it helps just to be natural with God, to talk to Him in your prayers as you would to a close friend. He knows you inside out, He knows the thoughts and longings in your heart, and He loves you very much.

Sometimes when prayer is difficult, it helps to use a set prayer. Here are some well-known prayers to help when you have run out of words or don't know what to pray.

    General Confession
    Almighty God,
    my heavenly Father,
    I have sinned against You
    through my own fault,
    in thought, word and deed,
    and in what I have left undone.
    For the sake of Your Son,
    Our Lord Jesus Christ,
    forgive me all that is past
    and grant that I may serve You
    in newness of life
    to the glory of Your Name.
    Amen.
    Getting Right With God
    Lord, in my weakness
    and in my ignorance
    I have failed you.
    I acknowledge
    how much I need you.
    Give me faith
    to reach out to you,
    to receive your forgiveness,
    grace and blessings.
    Let me know you
    and worship you more deeply.
    Open my eyes to the love of Jesus
    who laid down His life for me
    and fill me with your Holy Spirit.
    Set me free
    to be all you created me to be
    and to follow you faithfully
    all the days of my life.
    Amen.
